USB HDD Security Key hides your data

For some security isn’t all that important, in that case protecting your laptop with a password is plenty.  However, that’s not the case for everyone and sometimes it just makes you feel better knowing you have added security even if you don’t have that much data stored on your laptop.  Well if you’d like just a little extra piece of mind you can pick up this Security Key.  It’ll make sure that you’re the only one capable of getting into your computer and seeing all of those important documents.  Even if they happen to get past your password, it won’t do them any good unless they have the key.

This key uses the free space of your hard drive to create partitions where you can save your private data.  When someone gets into your computer it’ll just appear as if the files aren’t even there.  The partitions won’t even show up until the key is plugged into your computer’s USB port.  It does all of this and at an extremely affordable price.  You get the USB Virtual HDD Key, the USB extension cable as well as the drive software and manual all for $12.69 from UXSight.

Bike Pedals With Built-In Magnets Cling To Your Shoes

This seemed like it might be a good idea at first glance.  After all, feet slipping off of your bike pedals is obnoxious.  Especially when you’re attempting to get a faster time, your feet slipping is often going to slow you down.  Therefore these pedals having magnets built into them that keep your feet fused to the pedal would most definitely help out the situation.  However, what’s going to make most people pause and rethink things is how much it’s going to cost to keep your feet on your bicycle pedals.

The biggest catch with these is that you need special shoes to go with the pedals.  Those special shoes come from Mavic and Mavic only.  Which means little to no chance of finding these any cheaper.  The shoes themselves are sold in both male and female forms.  Plus the soles of the shoes have been stiffened to make your bike ride a bit more comfortable.   The pedals themselves will cost you $60 per pair and then the shoes $90.

Advanced Element Solar Shower

We have found another cool camping accessory that will make your trip a lot more comfortable. Advanced Elements' 5 gallon Summer Shower contains an insulator panel to generate warm water quicker. Made with a durable 4-ply construction, it has a large fill valve, twist off cap, water temperature gauge and mesh pocket with mirror. The roll up shower comes with hose fastener and d-ring tie downs.

Ever imagined or dreamed off becoming a mega-blockbuster actor, just by the tip of your fingers...???

Ever watched a movie and known you were supposed to play that role, except the director never came a-calling? Following the recent trend for not spelling things correctly, Yoostar is a gadget that lets you edit famous scenes from movies so that you can take over the staring roll and replace whatever Hollywood actor you want and maybe do a better job. (Any drama student who has ever sat through most of the filmatic versions of ‘Hamlet’ would kill for this gadget, believe me!)

The Yoostar comes with a webcam and integrated microphone, which it claims to be studio grade, so hopefully won’t make your rendition of the famous Godfather speech as jerky as stop motion animation and as fuzzy as a hamster with a blow dry. You also get a 6 foot by 6 foot green screen to film in front of and all the software needed to actually make the videos (sorry mac users- at the moment this is PC only, but a mac version will be available soon. Maybe Apple are just trying to get ‘i’ put at the front?).

Once you’ve filmed yourself reciting lines, and replaced the green with the film reel, your efforts can easily be uploaded onto YouTube for the world to judge. You get 14 famous scenes with the Yoostar, and there are many more available for download from their online store for a price (beginning to sound like iTunes with movies isn’t it?). There’s a pretty good selection on there- ‘Rocky’, ‘Blues Brothers’, ‘Forest Gump’ even ‘Sesame Street!’- although I hope they’ll extend the selection soon. !

Unfortunately the Yoostar isn’t retailing in England yet so would cost you the $165.95 plus air fair if you really want one now.  (I’m sorry- I’ll find some English gadgets this week I promise!) Apparently there are plans to launch the gadget worldwide, so we’ll keep you updated if we hear of that happening. For now it looks like you’ll have to keep asking the mirror if it’s lookin’ at yoo.

Peregrine Gaming Glove turns your hand into a controller

The keyboard is the most important interface a computer has, but despite decades of use, it really hasn't changed all that much. The latest product vying to replace it is the Peregrine glove, and, while we don't think it's the future of interacting with your PC or Mac, it could be a boon to gamers addicted to online RPGs.

Demonstrated to us at E3, the Peregrine is basically an elastic glove with some wires sewn into it at various points. Connecting one of those points to conductive patches on the palm and thumb creates an electrical circuit, which the glove's brain converts to a keypress. So, touch your thumb and forefinger together, and it might cast a spell in a role-playing game; touch your middle finger to your palm and it could heal you (or your in-game character, at least).

There are 40 total combinations of contact points on the glove that you can use and configure to do whatever you like. It's not particularly suitable for fast-paced games like first-person shooters (Halo, Quake, and all of those categorized games), but for massively-multiplayer online games, like 'World of Warcraft,' it could be perfect. Gamers could use the mouse with their right hand and wear the glove on the left, touching and tapping their way through the next level grind.

The glove is slated to cost $129 and ship sometime this Fall. And, while that may sound like a lot, it's actually a surprisingly solid product, developed up to military specifications. Why to military specs? That, sadly, they wouldn't tell us. But you can be sure we'll bring more impressions as soon as we get to spend a little more quality time with the controller.

That Star Wars Kid from YouTube must've been really stoked

How would you like your own little R2-D2 droid chasing you through the hallways of your battle-cruiser... er, I mean house?

This motorized replica responds to more than 40 voice commands, and plays games like tag using an infra-red sensor to find people.

R2-D2 has lights, a swiveling dome top, and sounds that mimic the real thing, from the movie. I bet you'll feel like Anakin Skywalker or Luke Skywalker.

This motorized replica of the headstrong little "droid" from the iconic Star Wars films responds to voice commands, navigates rooms and hallways, and makes any home feel like it has been transported to a galaxy far, far away. R2 obeys more than 40 voice commands ("Turn around!" "Move forward two units!") and he plays games like tag, using an infrared sensor to search for people in a room. His sensor helps him follow behind you, or it can be set to detect motion, turning R2 into a room sentry that sounds an alarm when a secured area is invaded. R2's lights, swiveling dome top, and distinctive happy and sad sounds faithfully mimic the real thing, right down to his occasional "bad mood." (A simple command of, "R2, behave yourself!" snaps him out of it.) R2 can also replay sounds and dialog from Star Wars. movies, answer yes-or-no questions, and dance while playing the famed cantina music. Requires four AA batteries and four D batteries. Minor assembly required. Ages 8 and up. 15" H x 7 1/2" W x 10 1/2" L. (6 lbs.)

Requirements:

AA Batteries

Have you ever imagined of playing a game and you could actually feel the impacts that you're playing in your game? Without a doubt, every boy or possibly girl who is a big fan of video games probably has imagined that.

Apparently, technology has made it possible for those game-enthusiasts. 3RD Space Vest is a new high-tech designed vest that will allow you to feel as if you were inside the game. This vest takes your gaming to a whole new level. It uses air pressure to add a real feeling to the game. For instance, if you are playing a fighting game and get hit, then you really get hit. Now World of Warcraft supports the 3RD Space Vest and this will be a huge hit.

Below is a quote from the well known Blizzard company:
The driver offers players fantastic contact effects as well as a physical sensory experience linking a new meaning and signature to magic spells and powers, while enhancing the intensity and fun of game play. The 3RD Space Driver Version 2.0 includes the entire functionality for all supported FPS and RPG titles within the single free download. Any 3RD Space Vest works with all supported titles and for those gamers who have already downloaded previous versions of the 3RD Space Driver, these new functions are automatically added with the driver’s auto-update function.

Other games that support this vest are Bioshock, Blacksite Area 51, Call of Duty 4, Crysis, Doom 3, Enemy Territory, Quake Wars, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Halflife 2, Medal of Honor Airborne, Quake 4, Turok, Unreal Tournament 3, World of Warcraft and many more. This 3RD Space Vest is fairly cheap compare to the fun it adds. A whole level of gaming is now open to the public and I think this will become a standard gaming gear very soon. Man, imagine getting shot in a war-shooting game or maybe getting beat up in a wrestling/fighting game. I hope it won't actually kill anybody
